Biography:
Born in London in 1985 and raised in Camden, I have always had an affinity for the bizarre and have been drawing and creating since before I can remember. After completing my art foundation course at Camberwell College of Art and Design, I went on to study BA (hons) Illustration at London College of Communication. I work largely in more traditional media such as pen and ink, paints and pencil, although in recent years I have also been working with design software such as photoshop and illustrator. I specialise in acutely detailed narrative works and believe that an illustration or artwork should tell stories within its own microcosm, irrespective of any supporting text. My influences are wide and varied and include Robert Crumb, fantasy illustrators such as John Blanche and Patrick Woodroffe, painters such as Francis Bacon and Lucian Freud, the natural world, myths, legends and folk tales, H. R. Giger, music, life, fantasy and philosophy.
